Bartow/Lakeland Balloon Artist Rocks (Face Painter, Too!) – Entertainers Available for Birthday Parties and Other Special Events

Tuesday, January 15th, 2013

“Thank you!!!! For an amazing party today! The kids as always loved you!!!”
-Nicole Santana

Since our family belongs to the Tampa Bay Fossil Club, we thought this would be interesting:

fossils 20130115 :-)

By the way, more than a thousand families like yours have invited our family business to celebrate birthdays with them. We are also a favorite at school, church, company and corporate events, including fairs, festivals, holiday parties and grand openings.

We’ve performed on the world’s largest cruise ship and at events for The Tampa Bay Lightning pro hockey team, Bank of America, and even Disney Parks and Resorts. What can we do for YOU? At special events throughout the Tampa Bay area and Central Florida, we provide:

Please click on the activities above for information and pictures. Then pick one, or mix and match to create a package and SAVE MONEY!

So how do people get entertainment for parties and special events?

  • You can pay an agent, party/event planner, total entertainment company, or other middleman a commission on each entertainer they hire for you. Even if they refer to “our face painters” or “our balloon artists,” they are charging you to hire someone. Sometimes even the person answering the phone is getting a cut, and only being paid if you book the party or event! Of course, in this modern Internet Age, you could hire entertainers yourself and NOT pay commissions. Wouldn’t it be funny if a middleman hired US for you, when you could have booked us yourself without paying a commission? It happens!!!
  • You can spend time hiring entertainers yourself. By cutting out the middleman, you save the commissions. But you still pay full price for each entertainer if you’re hiring more than one, such as a balloon artist AND a face painter.
  • We can provide your event entertainment, and give you a DISCOUNT for combining entertainers. You save money because WE’RE the professional entertainers. And you can read our testimonials and/or see us in action at one of our weekly open-to-the-public appearances (click here for days, times and locations) to check out the quality of our entertainment!

Be sure to get our quote before you book entertainment for your event!

Have a fun day!

Tampa Bay Fossil Club ROCKS (So To Speak), Says Brooksville/Spring Hill Balloon Artist Tony the Balloon Guy

Monday, April 30th, 2012

This weekend we did balloon entertainment and face painting at a ribbon cutting ceremony for a healthcare center and at a community picnic, but then we met up with our own kids, who spent the weekend digging for fossils in the Peace River in Hardee and DeSoto Counties.

Many thanks to the Tampa Bay Fossil Club for inviting the public to join them on this expedition. There were people there from all over the state and even from other states!

Our kids found some really cool teeth and bones, and I think we’re going to end up joining the fossil club. Yay!

Karate School/Karate Classes – Affordable, Quality – Brooksville, Spring Hill, Ridge Manor, Zephyrhills, Dade City – Good Fight Martial Arts with Rick Barker

Sunday, November 13th, 2011

Last night, after a Saturday of birthday parties (including one with a pony), Face Painter Phyllis and I (Tony the Balloon Guy) ran into some parents we see regularly on Wednesday nights at Golden Corral in Brooksville, where we entertain.

We talked to them for a good while, and they asked about our kids’ karate classes, and how karate had helped the junior partners of our family business with their confidence, etc. Their kids’ grandfather had suggested karate, and offered to pay for it.

We highly recommended our instructor, Rick Barker, of Good Fight Martial Arts. I told them the website was goodfightmartialarts.com, which turns out to not be true – it is actually gfmartialarts.com – and said that, if they couldn’t remember the name, they could go to my website – TonyTheBalloonGuy.com – and click the link that says “karate.”

The dad said, “Hey, that’s pretty good salesmanship – getting people to YOUR website on the way to the karate page!”

:-)

But seriously, Mr. Barker is a great teacher, his classes are very affordable, and when he has a beard (which is most of the time) he kind of looks like Chuck Norris.

Karate - Good Fight Martial Arts

If you are looking for something to help your kids be more fit, disciplined, confident and better able to defend themselves, check out Good Fight Martial Arts.

Have a fun day!

It’s a Jungle In There (Tony the Balloon Guy, a Tampa Bay area – Tarpon Springs-Trinity-East Lake-Keystone-New Port Richey – balloon artist/twister for special event and birthday party entertainment, revisits new and improved indoor bounce house facility)

Monday, September 26th, 2011

We (Tony the Balloon Guy and Face Painter Phyllis) always enjoy entertaining at birthday parties in indoor bounce house places like Pump it Up in Westchase and Jungle Bounce in Tarpon Springs.

In fact, I just did balloon animals and such at Jungle Bounce yesterday, and it has changed!

I guess I haven’t been there since April at least, because that’s when they put in the arcade downstairs and moved the party rooms (for the eating part of the party, not the bouncing part) upstairs.

The place looked great, and the staff was helpful and friendly as always.

Grand Opening Balloon Art and Face Painting (Face Painter Phyllis, a Tampa Bay area – Palma Ceia-Brandon-Carrollwood-Citrus Park – birthday party entertainer, and three junior balloon artists, help celebrate Tampa’s new Kumon Center for homework help and math-and-reading improvement)

Thursday, September 22nd, 2011

Saturday afternoon, while I (Tony the Balloon Guy) was at a birthday party in Spring Hill, Face Painter Phyllis and the junior partners of our family business provided face painting and balloon sculptures at the grand opening of  Kumon of Tampa-Palma Ceia.

Carol Murphy’s new center at 3415B W Bay to Bay Blvd, Tampa, FL 33629, is a place kids can go after school to increase their confidence and motivation to learn, so they have more success and achievement with math and reading.

If that sounds like something that would benefit your kids, please call (813) 831-9495, and/or visit the center online.

“Phyllis, Thank you so much for sharing your talent!! Thank you also for bringing your children and allowing htem to share their talent as well.”

Car Parking – Royal Caribbean International’s “Allure of the Seas” Balloon Artist/Twister’s Fort Lauderdale Advice

Thursday, September 15th, 2011

Since I (Tony the Balloon Guy) live in Florida, about four and a half hours from Ft. Lauderdale, it didn’t make sense for me and Face Painter Phyllis to fly over for my week of being the balloon artist/twister aboard Royal Caribbean International’s Allure of the Seas, the biggest cruise ship in the world.

Our friend Elaine recommended Park’N Go, a lot that is a little cheaper than the one at the terminal, especially if you pay ahead of time online.

Park’N Go is just a few blocks from the ship, and they have a free shuttle (no more than five minutes), and are very helpful with your bags.

Plus, as we were leaving their lot on the shuttle, we saw MONKEYS!!!

They were so cute!

One of the shuttle passengers, who had been in the area for a while, said that the monkeys were descendants of circus performers who had escaped some 40 years ago.

I don’t know if that’s true or just legend, but it was a fun way to start our adventure on the Allure of the Seas, the biggest cruise ship in the world.

I’ll write more about the cruise later.

Have a fun day!

Papa Joe’s Annual 99 Cent Spaghetti Fest, Year 30, to Raise Money for ARC Nature Coast (Tony the Balloon Guy and Face Painter Phyllis, Tampa Bay area – Lakeland-Brooksville-Ridge Manor-Homosassa – special event and birthday party entertainers to appear at charity fundraiser)

Thursday, September 1st, 2011

Papa Joe’s Restaurant in Brooksville, Florida, has a big event every year to raise money for a good cause.

This, the 30th year, the cause is the ARC Nature Coast (where, by the way, I – Tony the Balloon Guy – once did balloon entertainment for a Valentine’s Day party), which helps people with disabilities, and the clients’ families, too.

The event is an all-you-can-eat-spaghetti-for-99-cents type of thing with live entertainment, a massage chair, a bounce house, a dough tossing contest, pony rides, cart rides, door prizes and games.

Also, 3:30-8:30pm, I will be there doing my balloon thing, and Face Painter Phyllis will be… well, you can guess by her name.

I hope we see you on October 4th!

Black Belt! (Tony the Balloon Guy, a Tampa Bay area – Brandon-Brooksville-Seminole-Dunedin – birthday party/special event balloon artist/balloon twister, congratulates ANOTHER co-worker/family member on reaching a very high rank in karate)

Monday, August 22nd, 2011

Friday night, one of the junior partners in our family business took a karate test to earn the rank of black belt.

The test was a couple hours.

It began with him going through all the kicks, punches and blocks that he has learned through all belts from white on up, as well as forms/katas (sequences of moves strung together), both “empty hand” and with weapons (stick, nunchakusaitonfa, bow staff, and bokken).

karatetonfa

After all that, he had a two minute sparring match with an opponent, then a minute off, then two minutes with another opponent, etc., through five opponents.

Then after all THAT, he had to fight all five at once for two minutes!

By the end, he was pretty tired. Especially because Friday was the last of five six-hour days of karate camp!

karatebokken

But he got his black belt!

Thanks to instructor Rick Barker of Good Fight Martial Arts, and to everyone who came out to watch Jeremy’s achievement, and especially to those who volunteered to battle him in the test!

Have a fun day!

Rainbow Rollerland (Tony the Balloon Guy, a Tampa Bay area – Spring Hill-Wesley Chapel-Dade City-Brooksville – balloon artist/balloon twister, and family enjoy a Brooksville landmark of fun)

Tuesday, July 12th, 2011

The junior partners of our family business and I (Tony the Balloon Guy) are headed to Rainbow Rollerland, Brooksville, Florida’s, roller skating rink.

It’s the best old-fashioned fun you can have without balloons, face painting or a pony!

(Now that I think of it, I HAVE done balloons at Rainbow Rollerland – not for the skating rink, but for birthday parties AT the skating rink. Good times!)

Have a fun day!

Black Belt! (Tony the Balloon Guy, a Tampa Bay area – Inverness-Dade City-Riverview-St. Petersburg – balloon artist/balloon twister, congratulates a co-worker/family member on reaching a very high rank in karate)

Monday, July 11th, 2011

Friday night, one of the junior partners in our family business took a karate test to earn the rank of black belt.

The test was a couple hours.

It began with him going through all the kicks, punches and blocks that he has learned through all belts from white on up, as well as forms/katas (sequences of moves strung together), both “empty hand” and with weapons (stick, nunchakusaitonfa, bow staff, and bokken).

After all that, he had a two minute sparring match with an opponent, then a minute off, then two minutes with another opponent, etc., through five opponents.

Then after all THAT, he had to fight all five at once for two minutes!

By the end, he was pretty tired.

But he got his black belt!

Thanks to instructor Rick Barker of Good Fight Martial Arts, and to everyone who came out to watch Joshua’s achievement, and especially to those who volunteered to battle him in the test!

Have a fun day!
