Night Out

Wednesday, August 19th, 2009

Every year law enforcement agencies around the U.S. hold a National Night Out, and local crime watches do something fun that promotes awareness. A group in Ridge Manor wanted me (Tony the Balloon Guy) to entertain at their event this year, but I was already booked to come back to the Riverwalk group’s picnic. Thanks for having me back, Riverwalk!

Just an hour and a half of neighbors eating and bouncing in a bounce house (I mean eating outside the bounce house, and just bouncing inside the bounce house), and getting really cool balloons, while sheriff’s deputies were onhand, and stores like Target gave away freebies.

Always good to remember to be cautious about crime and safety issues. You be safe, hear?

And have a fun day!!!

A New Record!

Sunday, August 2nd, 2009

A little while back, I (Tony the Balloon Guy) blogged about how the oldest “child” I’d done a birthday party for was 16, but I would be doing a 31-year-old’s party in October.

Well, Friday afternoon a woman booked me and Face Painter Phyllis for a party the following evening for her husband, to celebrate him turning 40!

What a nice party, too. Seafood buffet, entertainment for the grown-ups and the kids, dancing, singing… I’ve seen smaller wedding receptions!

So now the record is 40… until Halloween Day, when we’ll be at a party for a little girl who is turning 90!

Have a fun day!
