We (Tony the Balloon Guy & Face Painter Phyllis) just booked a three-hour party in late October that will include balloon entertainment, face painting, and two ponies. We’re talking big bucks here. So how do they do it?
It’s a party for five birthday kids in different families.
Every now and then we run into this – a bunch of families who are friends combine all their party money, and instead of five families each getting one or two fun things to do for a party, this huge mob of kids gets together for a whole afternoon of a carnival of fun stuff! And each family is only paying what they would have paid if they had had their own normal-sized party.
Works out the same moneywise for me and Phyllis either way (if we do one big party or five normal ones), but I’m surprised more people don’t think of this, to turn their kids’ birthdays into major events. Especially in “this economy” that I keep hearing about.
Have a fun day!
