Ginormous Parties

Saturday, July 18th, 2009

We (Tony the Balloon Guy & Face Painter Phyllis) just booked a three-hour party in late October that will include balloon entertainment, face painting, and two ponies. We’re talking big bucks here. So how do they do it?

It’s a party for five birthday kids in different families.

Every now and then we run into this – a bunch of families who are friends combine all their party money, and instead of five families each getting one or two fun things to do for a party, this huge mob of kids gets together for a whole afternoon of a carnival of fun stuff! And each family is only paying what they would have paid if they had had their own normal-sized party.

Works out the same moneywise for me and Phyllis either way (if we do one big party or five normal ones), but I’m surprised more people don’t think of this, to turn their kids’ birthdays into major events. Especially in “this economy” that I keep hearing about.

Have a fun day!

On Target

Thursday, July 16th, 2009

There’s a new giant Target store opening on Spring Hill Drive, just east of the Suncoast Parkway, in Spring Hill. Or is it Brooksville there? Does anyone really know?

Anyway…

I (Tony the Balloon Guy) and Face Painter Phyllis will be celebrating the grand opening by providing free entertainment two days! Well, free to you…

Come see us 4:30-7:30 P.M. Tuesday, July 21, and 11 A.M. to 3 P.M. Sunday, July 26. It’s 2009 as I write this, so if you’re reading this in 2013, you’re too late!

But if you’re in the present, hope to see you Tuesday and/or Sunday!

Have a fun day!

No Place Else

Thursday, July 16th, 2009

Just spoke to John at Chili’s today, and Face Painter Phyllis and I (Tony the Balloon Guy) will be doing Monday nights there, 6-8 p.m., at 3085 Commercial Way, in Spring Hill. Commercial Way is what most folks would refer to as Highway 19, over on the west side of Hernando County.

So now you have us Mondays at Chili’s, Wednesdays 5-7 p.m. at Golden Corral in Brooksville, and Thursdays 6-8 p.m at Anthony’s Italian Restaurant in Trinity (New Port Richey area). And we still pop in on the Spring Hill Cici’s a lot, and some Sunday mornings at IHOP in Spring Hill.

Come see us!

And when you need balloon entertainment or face painting or balloon decorations or glitter tattoos or pony rides or magic shows or juggling or fortune telling or even elegant piano noodling…
